So, I'm all about the even trades, but I was hoping to get some upside on this one. Someone in my league offered me S Holmes, V Davis, and P Hillis for my D Bowe, F Gore, and R Gronk.
My team: (nonPPR, pts for QB completions, 1pp 10 return yds)
QB: Drew Brees WR: Wes Welker WR: D-Jax WR: Steve Smith RB: Chris Johnson RB: S-Jax TE: RGronk K: S Janikowski DEF: NYJ
BN: Dwayne Bowe BN: Frank Gore BN: Cam Newton BN: Denarius Moore BN: Ben Tate BN: Jordy Nelson
So, what do you think? It's a pretty close trade, but I dunno how I feel about Santonio Holmes having to rely on Sanchez. I also don't think Hillis is going to keep up his numbers as time goes on. But I'm worried Gronk is about to lose a lot of his looks with Hernandez coming back. Also, Gore hasn't done a whole lot for numbers this year.
Thank you in advance for ANY advice you can offer. Leave a link and I'll help you!
I would stick with your guys. I feel like Gore and Hillis are about equal (and both will underachieve this year unfortunately). I agree with you fear of Holmes having to rely on the worst rated QB in the league. Bowe is in better (by just a bit) postiion with at least Cassell throwing to him. But i think Gronk is clearly the better TE here. So i guess my assessment is that you own the better player in each position.
Sorry it took me so long to reply but I agree with the rest of them and I'd decline the trade. Your players are better and have more upside I think than the ones that are being offered to you in that deal.
