Fair offer for Roddy White? WHIR

Postby JP555 » Fri Oct 07, 2011 7:47 am

Looking to upgrade at receiver, and would like to buy Roddy low...I'll post the teams to see what you all think would be a good proposal to help us both. He needs TE, don't know if i want to give up Witten from my team (fine from a value perspective) but Hernandez might be sufficient.

10 team standard
My Team
QBs - st-Fitzpatrick
RB1 - Foster
RB2 - Turner
RB/WR - Hillis
WR1 - Dez
WR2 - Colston
WR/TE - Decker
TE - Witten
BENCH - Freeman/Ingram/Hightower/Ridley/Ford/Hernandez

His Team
QB Eli Manning
RB LeSean McCoy
RB Matt Forte
RB/WR Ryan Mathews
WR Roddy White
WR Mike Williams
WR/TE Santana Moss
TE Antonio Gates
Bench Ben Roethlisberger, Starks, Know, B Edwards, Woodhead, Branch, Henne

Unless he is a total idiot, you will not be able to buy Roddy low. That is his only decent WR. I would look around to see if you could find another WR you like, maybe Larry Fitz, or Mike Wallace available for trade. Also, I would not give up Witten. Hernandez has not shown the ability to stay healthy.

help with mine?

both team have strong RB, especially his team. and both team can use some stronger QB or WR2
it's not the team you want make trade, because both team is looking for the same thing.

I agree with the other posts - he probably wouldn't take anyway. I also agree that Hernandez is the one to trade. thanks for mine.

thanks for the help on my post.

I agree with the others... both teams need the same thing so its unlikely either of you will be happy with any offers. Your TE situation needs to stay as is. Hernandez cant stay healthy and Witten is far to consistent to trade away with the risk of Hernandez replacing him.

Agreed with previous posts. You might be able to do a 2 for 1 for White if he's down on him. Maybe offer Colston & Hillis? Something like that? Then again he probalby won't start Hillis ahead of his top 3 RBs. Maybe you can find a 3rd team to help make the needs match?

I agree that he probably won't make the trade, but hey- it can never hurt to offer. I'd offer Dez or Colston and Hernandez just to see if Roddy's even available. But look around for teams that have WR to spare.
