Advice on leveraging Newton for AP/Megatron/DMC WHIR

I'm debating using Cam Newton as leverage to get Adrian Peterson, Calvin Johnson, or Darren McFadden. Would this seem feasible given my lineup and his? Also, I'm not sure who I'd take in. I seem to be doing fine on WR's, but I could always upgrade my RB's. Not sure though. But I could also just hang onto Newton until Brees' week 11 bye. Ooooor is this idea far too lofty? I'd just like some advice.

I'de offer Cam + Steve Smith/Bowe/DJax + Nelson for AP or DMC, unless you valued them or calvin to give two better receivers + cam (but I wouldn't). Otherwise hes not gonna want to give calvin, his receivers would suck with MWilliams in there.

Megatron is basically untouchable, Peterson was his number 1 pick and DMC is looking like the breakout star of the year at RB potentially.

Your rbs are struggling right now so you would be underselling them if you traded CJ2k of jackson away I think. They will pick up their play. Also Frank Gore is a injury concern so if you make a trade make sure at the end you still have 3 solid rbs.

You have alot of WR depth so maybe you could trade steve smith and cam newton for Mcfadden. SAll your Wr's are coming off big weeks also

The guys your trading for are peaking and the guys you have are struggling so it would be hard to do. I would wait a week maybe one of those guys cool off and your guys have a big week. I think Cam Newton will be solid all year hes in full control of that offense so I wouldn't worry about his stock dropping. Don't be afraid to have good players on your bench.

other team will probably counter it with Brees

i previously had Brees/Newton/Fitzpatrick
i traded Brees+Wells for Rice

the other team i had Vick/Newton/Fitzpatrick
traded Newton for Hillis
both 10 teams league with standard yahoo rule, non-ppr

but if you look at their current production, Newton is doing really good
i understand Brees is top 5 QB and should be no-brainer for starter QB
but assuming you are in a competitive league without any not-so-bright-manager, you will have to give Brees for top tier RB or WR like AP or CJ

you can try
1. Newton/DJax or Bowe for DMC
2. Brees/Gore or CJ2K for AP
or Brees/Smith for megatron

however, seeing it's 8 teams league, top elite player hold more value since there's too many 2nd tier player
you will need to give some valuable player for top WR or RB
