Wayne or Julio Jones? Olsen or Pettigrew? WHIR

Postby joegoody41 » Sat Oct 08, 2011 9:39 am

For my WR2,
Reggie Wayne vs. KC
or
Julio Jones vs. GB

Jones has been on fire, and GB isn't great against the pass. Wayne is probably due for something, and the move to Painter is still better for him than Collins was.

At TE,
Greg Olsen vs. NO
or
Brandon Pettigrew vs. CHI

Pettigrew's targets are going up every week, and as teams focus more and more on stopping Calvin Johnson, he could finally start to see some action in the red zone. Olsen has scored the last two weeks, and continues to be a big part of that offense, in spite of having Shockey (playing his old team this week) competing behind him.

Thanks. Leave a link.

I like Wayne this week, but I like Jones even more based on the matchup. He will be targeted quite a bit so Atlanta can keep up with the Packers.
I got to go Olsen, while Pettigrew targets have gone up he needs to see some more red zone targets. I like Olsen this week as the Panthers will have to air it out against the Saints. good luck!

As much as I want to try to talk myself into saying Wayne, I just cant do it. I mean why would you start someone off to a slow start, with a bad QB, over someone who has been on fire with a good QB? The correct start is Jones IMO.

On the other one I think I would go Pettigrew. He will get his red zone looks now that teams are forced to put 4 guys on Megatron.

I'd go with Jones by a narrow margin, and Olsen all the way.

Jones and Pettigrew both by narrow margins.

I'd also go with Jones, and probably Pettigrew, but its really close at TE

Lend a hand?

I picked up Pettigrew for this week (Witten is on bye) just because he is facing Chicago and the Bears have given up more yards to TE this season than any team in football. I expect him to find the endzone on Monday Night as well.

Jones, all the way. Atlanta has finally figured out how to use him and the Packers D will not be able to stop him.
