I am in a deep 14 team league, Head to Head, league.....with a point system format where TD's are 2 points, and yardage points increase on the amount you score, 50-74 = 2 pts 75-90 = 4 pts etc = etc Increases drastically the higher the yardage the better.....
We are also allowed to protect 3 players for next season, Right now my 3 keepers are Newton/Graham and ???? I was thinking Harvin would be a nice stash for next season when the Vikes finally get a QB, LOL
My current starting star QB is Newton, we start 1QB weekly, so Cutler is more as a bye week fill in and insurance policy. Hated to have Flacco sitting every week, when I know he has value in this league. I also score Percy Harvin who is a nice buy low candidate, as soon as McNabb gets out of the QB position.....one would think.
MY ROSTER: QB - C.Newton J.Flacco RB - M.Jones-Drew (non keeper), M.Ingram, P.Thomas, M.Hardesty, S.Ridley, D.Karim WR - L.Fitzgerald (non keeper), D.Jackson (non keeper), P.Garcon, D.Nelson, E.Bennett, D.Driver TE - J.Graham K - S.Gostkowski, J.Kasay D - Falcons, Bills

i would wait till after week 6 to see what happens with hillis, if he gets moved hardesty will be the starter. flacco and cutler isnt much of a differnece both have big games then have terrible games i would much rather flacco as a back up with newton as starter. harvin isnt much of a upgrade with the wr with who you have. and then ur moving back 2 rounds in a draft next year. i dont like the trade keep what you got
I think I like this trade, but like the previous poster said, if Hillis gets traded (which I'm not convinced will happen) Hardesty will have some good value. You're only playing Cutler or Flacco on Newton's bye week, so if you can get some value for Flacco I'd take it. Harvin definitely has potential, but the Vikings really need to get someone else behind center before it will be realized. The 7th round pick should also net you someone decent, as the 12th rounder you're giving up likely would never see your active roster. I'd go for it.
Flacco and Cutler are essentially a wash (and a non factor, really since you've got Newton), so the fact that you can get Harvin for Hardesty is a steal in my book. As far as your keeper, I'd keep an eye on Ingram as well. He might be worth more than Harvin at the end of the day anyhow...
Thanks guys, I'd be hard pressed to do better, especially with Newton entrenched as my NUMBER 1 guy, Roll the dice and see what Harvin brings rest of the season?
I took Flacco in the 2nd round in our VERY QB friendly PPR league. I think Flacco will get you a lot more yards down the stretch. After watching Cutler Mon night, he would be really good if he had an O-line. He makes some really nice plays under constant pressure... I think he's way under valued. Percy > Hardesty and you have Cam so the QBs don't matter = Upgrade
I like the trade, I think its pretty even if you just look at the players (i am not a big harvin fan) but upgrading your picks for next season is definitely worth it.
It's an ok deal. Nothing thrilling, but good to get Hardin for next year. I would wait a bit though cus if Hollis is traded, hardesty's value goes way up.
