Eh I'm worried about the value of both DeAngelo and Bradshaw. Brees is nice for your team for sure. If DeAngelo were producing like he were capable I'd jump on this. But I just don't see how this helps you. Its not too bad. It does give you some balance for sure. If Bradshaw and DeAngelo were getting consistent carries you'd HAVE to do this. Post your complete roster and FAs.
Normally...I'd tell you to completely back off any deal involving AP...but considering you are 0-5, and I'm assuming that this isn't a keeper league...I'd say try and do something. I'm frankly surprised he backed off of that deal, since he'd make out getting AP...and still have Newton.
Would he do the same deal with you taking Newton?
Is there another team that has two starting backs (one like Bradshaw) that you could make a deal with? Perhaps, since he's your 'buddy', you could send him an e-mail jarring him a bit...you know..."Hey, I made this offer to so-and-so for (whoever you come up with a deal with)," which may make him reconsider...
You're 0-5, so make sure that you are making a deal that can give you a run...your offer was such a trade...not perfect by an stretch, but nice haul for a team that needs more than one big scoring player...
My team (after I had to drop some busts to the bench, including my QB) is:
QB - none right now, I've been using hasselbeck... RB - AP, LET WR - Marshall, Williams TB, Knox, Denarious Moore, Jacoby Jones TE - Gates (woohoo...) I've been using Fred Davis and Jared Cook D/ST - Packers K - Lindell
The reason for this mess was Peyton Manning, Kenny Britt and Nate Kaeding.
