WR3 dilemma - WHIR

Postby mtculp » Thu Oct 13, 2011 10:25 am

A.J. is out so I need to pick 2 of these 3 WRs to go with Miles Austin:

Jordy Nelson v. STL
David Nelson @ NYG or
Mike Wallace v. NO (I originally posted this so all you responders before the edit are forgiven. LOL It should be Mike Williams (TB))

My thoughts are that they are in the proper order as listed?

6 pts./TD; 1pt./10 yds. REC; .5 PPR

Leave link for WHIR!

Definitely Mike Wallace, no doubt. NO will score points so PIT will have to throw and Wallace, in my opinion, is an every week starter.

The "Nelsons" question is tougher. The StL pass-D is definitely worse than the NYG. Rodgers has more weapons sure, but I think GB could put up 40 points, giving Jordy more chances. I like D. Nelson, but BUF is on the road and I think that gives Jordy a little more upside.

Do you mean Mike Williams (TB), since he's playing NO or Mike Wallace on PIT? I guess either way I'd probably bench David Nelson. He's had 2 for 18 and 1 for 6 the last two weeks, even though he has 1 TD in those games. I heard he's moving outside where he's less comfortable, whatever that means. I'd rank them Mike Wallace, Mike Williams, Jordy, then David.

Please help with mine:

I'd go Jordy Nelson.

Williams is probably a more consistent option, but Jordy Nelson has been going crazy lately, always has a big play in him.

Definitely Jordy Nelson over the other two. I would probably go with David Nelson as well. He doesn't always blow up the scoreboard, but he should be more productive than Mike Williams.
