Bye Week RB - Carter, Grant, Tate, or FA

Postby howard » Thu Oct 13, 2011 12:36 pm

I don't have much depth at RB, so with the bye week I am struggling. McCoy is my RB1, with Wells on bye who is my RB2?

My options:
Ryan Grant (GB) v. StL - (sharing carries with Starks)
Delone Carter (Ind) v. Cin (Will he start or will Addai or Brown?)
Ben Tate (Hou) v. Bal (Foster getting all the carries)

Free Agents:
Montario Hardesty
Steven Ridley
Brandon Jacobs
Carnell Williams
Reggie Bush
Pierre Thomas
Kendall Hunter

(12 person league, H2H, standard yahoo scoring)
QB: Josh Freeman, Ryan Fitzpatrick
RB: LeSean McCoy, Chris Wells, Ryan Grant, Ben Tate, Delone Carter
WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Miles Austin, Dwayne Bowe, A.J. Green, Darrius Heyward-Bey
TE: Jason Witten
PK: Matt Bryant
TD: Washington Redskins

I would have to say Ryan Grant. I assume that at some point Green Bay will be up by enough against the Rams to warrant running the ball drive after drive. At a late stage in the game such as that, why wear out your No.1 back in Starks. grant should pick up more carries as the game goes on assuming the Pack is taking a pretty large lead and wants to kill the clock. I would also look at Delone Carter closer to game time. I saw a bit about Addai being helped off the field this morning but thats all I know. Check back with that maybe Saturday night to make an informed decision. But, as it stands now, I would go with Grant for Green Bay.

Agreed, if Ryant Grant plays it's Grant and it's not close. Carter will split carries with Donald Brown just as Grant will with Starks and I have a lot more confidence in the GB offense than I do the Colts. The Rams were absolutely shredded by Torain and the Redskins ground game.

Help me?
