I'm currently 5-0 in my 10 man league. But I'm always trying to find ways to improve my roster.
We play with basic rules (all TDs are 6 points, except for passing which are 4 points). Start a QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, Flex, TE, Defense, Kicker
There is another team in my league who is currently 0-5. His roster is pretty thin and would like to add some WR talent without losing too much at runningback. I'm looking to move one of my Lions, as I'm worried I'm leaning too much on one team. Plus, after Best's huge Monday night game, I'm attempting to sell high.
My original offer (which he is contemplating): I GIVE: Jahvid Best (Det) and David Nelson (Buf) I RECEIVE: Adrian Peterson(Min)
I don't think he'll end up accepting and I'm thinking of countering with the following: I GIVE: Jahvid Best (Det) and Santonio Holmes (Jets) I RECEIVE: Adrian Peterson(Min)
If I make this offer, am I giving up too much? Teams are below...leave a link and I'll help you in return. Thanks in advance!
MY TEAM QB: M Stafford, M Ryan RB: M Forte, J Best, L Blount, M Tolbert, J Starks WR: A Johnson, C Johnson, S Holmes, D Nelson, D Mason TE: F Davis, G Olsen DEF: Lions K: M Crosby
HIS TEAM QB: P Manning, E Manning RB: A Peterson, F Gore, M Lynch, J Harrison WR: M Williams, J Maclin, M Manningham, J Knox, C Ochocinco, J Jones TE: D Clark, K Winslow DEF: Saints K: N Kaeding
no..you are not giving up to much. Best had a great game last week..but I don't see him having the same type of success like he did Monday night. It's the Stafford and Megatron show right now. Now is the time to get rid of him..sell him high..it would be GREAT to get AP for him. As AP is the top player in Minn. right now. Do this trade with no regrets if he accepts. Pull that trigger fast
QB - RGIII WR - R. Wayne, A.J. Green, Antonio Brown, L. Moore RB - M. Forte, Rashad Jennings, D. Murray, R. Mendenhall, J. Dwyer TE - J. Witten, A. Gates Flex - T. Richardson K - R. Gould DEF - Bears
Your not getting Petterson for either one of those offers. If your serous about getting petterson your going to have to give up AJ ,Calvin or Forte and maybe even add another player.
ROSTER/10 team QB-P.Manning/A.Luck RB-McCoy/T.Richardson/Mathews/D.Richardson WR-AJ Green/V.Cruz/D.Thomas/T.Smith/J.Gordon FLEX- RB/WR TE-H.Miller/M.Bennet
Can't see how he accepts either of those two trades. I agree with c0meg you are going to have to up that offer if you want AP. Unless the other guy is totally clueless then what's the point.
QB- Roethlisberger, Rivers, Foles RB- McCoy, Lynch, L James, Ivory, F Jackson, D Thomas, Turbin WR- Julio, Bowe, D Bryant, D Jax, Amendola, Broyles, Gordon, Hill TE- Celek, D Allen DEF- Giants K- Zuerlin D- D Washington, S Weatherspoon, L Kuechly
Yeah, i'd agree with the last post. I gotta think you'll need to offer up more than Holmes. With that said, if he does bite on either of those trades I'd say you made out BIG TIME!!
Not much to add to the feedback you already got. Of course both trades would be great for you. Though I think the AP owner would have to pretty stupid to accept either one. Yeah, Best had a huge game Monday and could be seen as a good "sell high". But AP had an even better game. I'm not sure what else you could add to a Best for AP deal to make it fair. Either Johnson receiver is too much. Only Stafford might be appealing to him, especially if he's not sold on Eli despite the production. Though if he's seriously considering your offer (or swapping Holmes in for Nelson), he really isn't a very good fantasy player and he probably has no concept of what a good trade is.
Heck I would offer any two of your current RBs (but not both Forte and Best) plus Mason and Olsen and Nelson to get AP. That would improve your starting team and give you some slot to pickup coverage for your bye weeks or the latest ww darling.
