I have just been offered Gore/Jennings for Chris Johnson/Starks/Cruz?
My team:
Q: Stafford RBs: CJ, Hillis, D. Thomas, Lynch, Starks WRs: V. Jackson, Cruz, Heyward-Bay, Baldwin, Manningham, Ochocinco, Torrey Smith
As you can see I have a very weak WR core, and Jennings would be a huge upgrade. I am 1-4 and need a drastic change. I am afraid to replace CJ for Gore though. Gore is battling an ankle injury and CJ has the potential to explode. What do you think?
Id do the deal. That San fran o line has come together nicely and Gore is running hard. Jennings speaks for himself. I suppose CJ could explode but does it feel like he will? To me hes just missing something this year. Honestly atleast Gore has had production this year, CJ hasn't. Your receivers are very shaky so adding Jennings will be nice for you. Cruz seems like a flash type guy who has made some bizarre big plays the last few weeks, I dont think that will last. Starks is in an annoying situation in GB because they refuse to run it in the red zone, they wanna throw all day. So again, go for it. I would.
Thanks for the help. Yeah I'm leaning towards going for it, but I'm going to research more and make my decision tomorrow. My biggest fear is obviously CJ going off the second half of the year, but it could get worse if Cruz keeps his production up. Even though Jennings is a best, Rodgers still throws to 100 different receivers, so he'll rarely have that 20+ point game. It'll always be just a solid 12-15 pt. game. So that means I could trade for a lesser RB and a wash at WR if CJ busts out and Cruz stays pat, and that really isn't out of the realm of possibility. Gore's ankle problems scares me too.

There are a thousand issues that could come up sure. Gore has been practicing fully, so as of right now consider him healthy. Could he get injured as his history would suggest? Sure, but so can every other player in the league. Jamaal Charles slipped on the sideline and he tore an acl. You just never know. In my opinion you cant worry about what CJ might do, but you gotta look at what hes done this year, compared to Gore and Jennings.
I have Matt Ryan as a backup. I don't know there's not much available. Here's my full squad though:
Q: Stafford, Ryan RB: Gore, Hillis, Lynch, D. Thomas WR/T: V. Jackson, Jennings, Heyward-Bey, Manningham, Torrey Smith, Baldwin, Ochocinco K: Rian Lindell DEF: Buffallo
Any suggestions of any sleepers? Here's the best available as FAs/Waivers (My league's DEF scores very little, so I'm not worried about a backup):
Best WR/T available: Denarius Moore (Who I just recently dropped for Baldwin), Devery Henderson (who I just recently dropped for Heyward-Bey), Dustin Keller Best RB available: Kendall Hunter, Carnell Williams, Isaac Redman
