Washington RB situation

Postby Wolfpac11680 » Fri Oct 14, 2011 7:57 am

Any Redskin fans out there who can shed some light on what they are hearing about the Redskins backfield? Torrain was a beast with a 7 ypc in week 4 and Hightower is in Shanahan's doghouse and injured. I thought Torrain was a lock to run all over the Eagles but now I'm hearing that Hightower is going to start.

Any advice since I was going to start Torrain this week?

Thanks

Torain is hot and is I think should get the lion's share. I'm sure Highertower, etc will get carries, but not sure how much. Eagles are giving up the most fantasy points to running backs in the NFL from what I read.

Torain is definitely the best start among Washington runners. Even if Hightower is the "starter," Torain was too good to sit last week. Hightower was totally ineffective by comparison. How much of that is Tim's shoulder injury I couldn't say, but in a pinch I think you could start Hightower in the flex as well. The Eagles are bad against the run so far and whoever gets work should produce. In my 12 teamer I'm starting both and am hoping for 20 points total, so I don't really care who gets what.

They are both defo gonna split some carries, but I like Torrian a lot more than Hightower this week. With Shannahan, you never know - and Helu might get a lot of work too!

I just got done writing a response saying that I would play Gore cause hes going to get the ball 20 times. However, I just erased it lol. I think you have to play the matchup here and go with Torain. If you are not going to play him this week then why did you bother getting him in the first place. Gore against that Lions front will probably not be very good.

After I started Hightower today, I hate Mike Shanahan!

Why would you have done that? I didn't see any indication that he was starting or even sharing carries. Much to the contrary...

Gore on my bench with 22 points, Ryan Torrain started and gave me 2.2 points. That's what I get for being cute
