TRADE HELP SOON: Austin for Eli Manning, WHIR!

Postby curly » Fri Oct 14, 2011 9:42 am

0.5 PPR league

I am being offered his Eli Manning and Mike Thomas for my Miles Austin and Tim Tebow

Here is my team. I am pretty weak at QB and WR is my strength

QB - Freeman, Tebow
RB - Gore, Carter, Tomlinson, Redman
WR - Calvin Johnson, Austin, Holmes, Moss
TE - Keller, Watson
K - Janikowski
D - 5 IDP players

It looks like I am going to get a win this week, so my question to you guys is should I hold out hope for Tim Tebow to score big when he is starting, and in turn be able to keep Austin.

Or should I accept the trade in order to strengthen my QB position? Or should I counter and give him Freeman or a different WR?

I don't want to mess this trade up because I've been trying to get Manning from this guy because he has a BYE week conflict with his QBs.

Please help soon because I want to have Manning in time for Sunday if I choose to do the trade. WHIR!

you need a solid running back in return, as austin is the most valuable player in the deal. or counter with tebow and santana moss(or holmes) for manning.

I think your need for a 2nd running back is much higher than a QB, honestly.

Which RB is the one that I could most likely get:

Fred Jackson
Cedric Benson
Tim Hightower
Ben Tate

I don't see him giving up Jackson

hmm he's not likely to give up a back with his depth either.

i'd offer manning for tebow and either santonio holmes or moss. unless he will do benson, manning, solid WR2 for austin, tebow, and a running back(not gore) or jackson and benson for gore and austin.

in order to do the original deal you need a solid WR2 or RB2 instead of thomas in return.

With Foster back, Tate doesn't matter.

Hightower is in a system with ShannahatesFFBRBs system with Helu and Torain. I need say no more.

Both other backs are decent, but I'm not sure I can justify Benson for your Austin TBH.

Freeman is better than Eli. Go find another partner in the league. You need a RB2. Leave your WR alone if possible.

help with mine?

Hmmm, I'm not sure what to do. I doubt he is going to respond now because it seems he only checks his trade offers every morning and night. So it wouldn't do any good this week. I went ahead and cancelled it for now and may counter later, or try to trade with someone else for an RB or something

I'm currently sitting at 1-4, and our tie breaker is QB points. So say I get on a win streak and finish in the middle of the league tied with someone, as I sit now, I would probably lose a tie breaker based on my QB points.

That's my rationale for targeting a QB trade.
