My week 6 team: Brady Rice McFadden Nicks Austin V. Davis B. Marshall Janikowski 49ers
Bench: Schaub McGahee Wells Fitzgerald A. Johnson J. Jones
I don't wanna start Marshall at flex, but i literally don't have anyone else, after Jones was informed to be out. What i'm thinking of, is cutting McGahee, who i just got in a trade for Brady (where all i really wanted was Brady, so he was sort of a "bonus"). Would that be stupid? I know i'm running a little low on RBs, but is McGahee really worth anything to me, with the starters i (normally) have?
So i would cut McGahee, and pick up one of the following four FAs: J. Nelson, Torain, D. Thomas, Colston
Looked at a bunch of different ranking sites, and i just have a really hard time deciding on this one. I'm up against the league leader, so i'm a little scared of going with Torain only to find out that Shanahan decided to change starter last minute again again. Not sure if Colston is a bad choice with Brees spreading the ball around a lot. Same thing with Nelson, but not sure it's as bad with Rodgers!? And D.Thomas is recommended on lots of sites, but i dunno if thats with standard scoring - making him a little less valuable in my league?
And then i (possibly) need a new DEF for this week (started to play on weekly matchup after Steelers had disappointed me 4 weeks in a row!). I'm considering the following four DEFs: 49ers, Redskins, Bills and Steelers
High-scoring 49ers got a pretty bad matchup, Redskins+Steelers got good matchups and Bills' is decent i guess. Still, though, in points 49ers > Bills > Redskins > Steelers, so really in doubt here too.
Hope you can help me choose a flex and a DEF for the week.
Thanks, WHIR!

I don't think that you will be missing anything by cutting McGahee. I'd think about picking up D. Thomas as well, regardless of scoring format. Assuming he is completely healthy, he should have a good game. Other than that, I agree with your WR assessments.
In regards to a defense. I like the sound of the Bills quite a bit. If they continue to work these turnovers like they have been, odds are they will be getting a LOT of points vs. Eli. If you don't want to count on that, think about the redskins maybe before the Steelers.

i would definatly not play the 49ers against the lions. i think you should pick up pittsburgh. i would dump mcgahee and pick up jordy nelson, he doesnt get alot of catches but he is a big play guy and they are playing st louis
