Grab Tebow...No Backup QB?

Postby captkirkcud » Sat Oct 15, 2011 9:35 am

My QB is Aaron Rodgers and I have been playing all season with no backup QB....His bye is coming up in week 8 so should i grab Tebow via FA now before he is gone. My team is pretty solid but i don't know who i would drop, i am thinking maybe Eric Decker as my weakest link. After Rodgers comes back, I would drop or trade Tebow depending on his value? 10 team League

QB – Aaron Rodgers
WR – Roddy White
WR – Vincent Jackson
WR – Stevie Johnson
RB – Matt Forte
RB – Beanie Wells
TE – Jermaine Gresham
K – David Akers
D - Pittsburgh

B - Rashard Mendenhall
B - Ben-Jarvis Green Ellis
B - Marques Colston
B - Daniel Thomas
B - Victor Cruz
B – Eric Decker

You need a backup QB, playing without having one is very dangerous. I would go ahead and grab Tebow and drop Decker.

Yes, i agree.....i play without a backup TE also. I really like my bench and hate to get rid of anybody but i think Decker has to be the one. Cruz could be this years Miles Austin of a few years ago so i don't want to drop him either.

Yep, I would dump Decker for Tebow. Hard to believe he is still on you WW with so many crap QB2's this year. With his running ability he should put up good points on Rodgers bye week. I have him to fill in week 7 against the Dolphins on Vick's bye and I expect at least 20 points.

I would drop Colston :P but I also hate owning NO offensive players.

Yes, drop Decker for Tebow. If Tebow doesn't pan out, you didn't lose much.

With the WRs you have I don't think you need 3-4 sitting on the bench each week so I would certainly pick up a back up QB. In a 10 team league I would probably try to find a more experienced QB other than Tebow. If you'll need to play him in week 8 he'll only have one game under his belt and will be going against Det. I'd look for Dalton (vs Sea), Hasselback (vs Indy) or Cassel (vs SD) on the waiver wire

Help with mine?
