I have played Stafford paired up with Calvin Johnson all year, but this week my opponent has Miles Austin and I am wondering if I should play Romo to hedge my bets against Austin. Also Romo has a very favorable matchup.
QB - Stafford / Romo RB - Rice, Jackson (Rams), Sproles, Redman WR - Welker, Johnson (Lions), Maclin, Harvin, Decker, Jones (GB), Clayton (TB) TE - Graham K - Hanson Flex - Usually Sproles. 10 team PPR with bonus for long TDs D - Ravens, Bengals
I keep stafford starting over romo especailly until romo is completely healthy, and dallas shows they can protect him consistently. Stafford is on a roll and their is no need to stop rolling with him.
Stafford's been hot all season and there's really no reason to bench him yet. I kind of have the same problem this week, but my decision was in between Stafford and Roethlisberger after his monster game with 5 TDs last week.
Two things I would take in consideration for Romo is this, NE has found a running attack in BJGE. This will allow NE to keep Romo off the field for extended periods of time, which obviously hinders Romo's offensive production. Another thing to consider is his inconsistency, you just never know when the kid will crumble as he has in the past.
None of these are a problem with Stafford. If anything, Stafford may be forced to throw even more because of that monster SF run defense.
QBs: Brady RBs: Foster, Charles, D. Martin, Murray WRs: J. Nelson, Fitzgerald, Bowe, Nicks, T.Y. Hilton, M. Williams TEs: Graham, Hernandez K: S. Graham DEF: Texans
As everyone else has said, go with Stafford. Even more so because you also have Megatron, giving you more for your money so to speak. On top of that, The general idea is to help yourself over trying to be a detriment to your opponent.
agreed brother. i think until stafford proves otherwise, he is unbenchable. plus there's no way best is gonna run on the niners so its gonna be stafford slinging it all game long. all the best.
On top of that, Stafford spends most of his time out of the gunp. The Lions are a pass first team much like the Saints. He is averaging 20 points a game standard scoring. And I reiterate, you also have Megatron, more for your money. That's almost double points.
