Best. Starks, or Graham?

Postby HotHandz305 » Sat Oct 15, 2011 5:58 pm

So my flex spot is currently in debate even though at first based on names it seems obvious.

J. Best is obviously the stud of the group though his production can be average or amazing.

E. Graham is decent RB both at the run and pass catching.

J. Starks is also decent but in a RBBC and a pass heavy team.

Now skill wise I'd say Best -> Graham -> Starks. The problem is their also opposite in order of easyest match up.

Starks is going against the horrid StL run D, Graham is not far behind in the NO run D but the big problem is that Best is up against the toughest run defense SanFran..

As much as I love best I think Graham may be a better play due to SF's great ability to stop RBs but also that Graham is going up against a not so great run D of the saints who will also most likely lead TB causing passing and Graham is good at pass catching as a RB.

Due to match ups Im started to lean towards ranking them as

1. Graham, 2. Best, 3. Starks

Any other advice as to wether I should essentially start Graham or Best?

I'd say go with Graham and Starks.

Even though Starks splits carries with Grant, there has not been a single game in which Grant gets more touches than Starks, be it in running plays, or passing plays. It just never happens. Sometime down the season, I'm sure Starks will be named starter. Also, that horrid STL run defense.. my God, GB is probably going to run it a lot just to waste some clock, since they'll be able to score easily.

Graham also has a favorable match up, and TB will want to keep NO off the field as much as possible to prevent explosive plays, which means Graham will see some work.

I am a Best owner myself, and I am very hesitant to start Best. He hasn't proved himself against run defense like that of the 49'ers, so I'm just not sure about him.

definitely start starks. the other one is kind of a toss-up, but i'd go with best simply because that offense has been so good. and he can catch passes if the running game doesn't get going.
