So far, he has been far from good, let alone spectacular. I know in yesterday's game, there were pass interference penalties, but overall for the season, he's been dropping balls and just not looking like himself. Now factor in that Julio Jones has been looking like a rockstar, I once again ask...
He has been playing hurt. Matt Ryan looking pedestrian 50% of the time hasn't helped out much either. Julio is only doing well because defenses roll coverage towards Roddy.
I wouldn't expect his downward trend to continue throughout the year though.
He used to be extremely consistent, and this year, that looks to no longer be the case. He has ALWAYS played hurt. Roddy White is famous for being on every injury report in creation. But I don't think his lack of production is purely his fault.
Ryan is getting hit A LOT. He's been hit 40 times in 6 weeks, as opposed to 69 times all of last year. He's been sacked 15 times this season, as opposed to 23 all last year. I think we're seeing a young QB get rattled.
5 out of 6 "useable" starts & he is the kind of WR who can get insanely hot for prolonged stretches.

Maybe 3 "usable" starts Maybe 4. But only 2 starts that are acceptable from your WR1. I think most people still play without PPR.
Still, I agree with you... he's exactly the kind of WR who can have a 3 TD game, or a 200 yard game out of nowhere, and I would still be wanting him on my team. It's just that when you get 2.1 points from the guy you drafted WR1, or paid top WR auction value for, he probably lost your team that game.
I'm a big believer in "he's due". As long as a player is still getting superstar attention (targets, in this case) eventually he's going to turn in some monster games. They only threw the ball 22 times yesterday, so his targets don't look quite so bad from that perspective.
I was very high on the Falcons passing game entering the season and it has been a huge disappointment thus far. Ryan has been getting mauled on a weekly basis and neither Roddy, nor Julio has been connecting with Matty Ice on big plays. I guess I'm worried about Roddy to the extent that I think he may end up in the bottom of the top 10 WRs instead of top 3, but beyond that I tend to agree that he, and the whole passing game is due. I don't think Julio Jones's presence or absence is much of a factor either ,as it pertains to Roddy's value. Roddy might get a little extra attention, but also might not be as free.
I guess the O-line could be really bad for the remainder of the season, but I think it's more likely that that whole offense gets it together at some point in the season. Hopefully Julio will be healthy for this week's game and it will come sooner rather than later.
Well with is mediocre games and my record after this week being 2-4, I am thinking about trying to get an AJ Green for him. Someone who at least is catching the ball and scoring TD's. Don't think I can wait for him to blow up when the trade deadline is coming up and his value is going down.

I still like Roddy there, but I guess I can't blame you. Green does look like a stud in the making. I think I'd aim a little higher though.
