Next 2 weeks: Torain or Battle? WHIR

Postby GreenBowlPackers » Wed Oct 19, 2011 9:05 am

Deep league, obviously
0.5 pts for receptions
10 yds = 1 pt, 4 pt bonus at 100 yards, 3 pt bonus at 150/200
TDs = 6

Battle vs. OAK / SD
Torain vs. CAR / BUF

Matchup-wise I prefer Torain, but theres no guarantee that Hightower or Helu wont vulture from him. Battle seems to be the #1 back in KC for now, but with 2 defenses that could potentially shut him down.

Leave a link here with your help and I'll be glad to respond.

very tough, but I would lean to Battle, simply because Wash is a mess. Who knows what Shanny will do. I'm guessing Torain will be the main guy on running downs, but who knows. Matchups are nice though. Battle is a little bit of a mystery as well, but the talk in KC is they will give Battle the lead job. Oak isn;t a great run def, so he should have a decent week. SD may be tougher, esp if they fall behind. If you have commit now for the next 2 weeks, then go Battle.

I would lean with Battle based on the teams each is playing.

This is a tough one as both situations are so unpredictable. I would lean towards Battle though. Shannahan just seems to give RB carries at random, I wouldn't like having any of the Washington backs.

I agree with everyone. Battle will have a tough road but you know he will at least be getting the rock. KC's passing game seems to have picked up lately, which could lead to more plays for Battle.

Yeah I would definitely go with Battle just for the fact that Washington is gonna start being behind in many games and the running back situation is a clusterf***. It also looks like Battle can catch out of the backfield so I think you would be better off with him than Torain.
