Is it time to drop Wayne?

Postby ECG77 » Wed Oct 19, 2011 10:38 am

There is no hope for him this season. And no one wants to trade for him in my league. :-o

Should I drop him? I'm looking to pick up Jackie Battle.

Assuming your team is listed in your sig, why not drop Mark Ingram for Battle? Ingram is going to be a hell of a running back, but for fantasy purposes this year, having Thomas and Sproles vulture touches isn't going to do him many favors.

For right now you can assume that Painter is locking in on Garcon mainly because Wayne's getting DT'd and Clark couldnt catch a cold. I wouldnt bank on that happening all season, I fully expect Wayne to break out with a huge game any week now. Cant say the same for Ingram this year.

Man, You don't really need battle and he's going to be splitting carries. I still think there is hope for Wayne. See what battle does this weekend.

Help?

I agree but I need a temp back for this week. F-Jax and Law Firm are on their bye week which leaves me with Ingram and a questionable Hillis. I'll start Ingram but I'm not sure about Hillis.

If you're worried about starting Hillis, then pick up Battle for this week as a replacement. You could always pick up DeMarco Murray if he's available, but I like Battle, I just picked him up as a replacement for this week.

You never told me who to drop for Janikowski lol

So do I drop Wayne then?

The only other player I would drop is Gonzalez but I would hate to do so when he is playing well and I could use him for trade bait for an owner that could use a solid TE.

I would stay put, Wayne is still a talented wide receiver. Yeah, Garcon is getting most of the targets, but defenses will adjust which should give Wayne more opportunities.
