basically my team needs some type of spark. sitting at 2-4 (luckily every team besides 1,2 and 10th are 3-3 besides me and one other at 2-4) i need to make a change. i was just offered newton and brandon lloyd for my hakeem nicks. let me know what you think of this deal or where else I could look to improve. thanks guys, leave a link....
10 team PPR with bonus at 100 rushing/receiving,300 passing, 1pt/10rec,rushing
I think that is a high risk but high reward trade. I would take it myself as I think Newton will continue to put up strong fantasy points. I expect Lloyd to put up much stronger numbers in Josh McDaniels offense as well. Its a bit of a risk though. good luck and thanks for helping me!
I say yes. This way you can start Newton and put one of the other QBs on the trading block for another WR you like. Help with mine? viewtopic.php?f=18&t=504640

QB: E. Manning, Bradford RB: Peterson, Best, Tolbert, Starks, Torain WR: Wallace, Welker,Colston. P. Parker, Floyd TE: Hernandez, Davis K: Hanson DEF: Rotating
Do it. Cam is an obvious upgrade, and Lloyd has the potential to do something big, but either way he will at least give you something. Seeing that you are in a position where you need a win, I'd do it because Lloyd is a better options than the other with Nicks on a bye.
I dont think I would do this trade right now. see if you can give it a week. Dont panic yet
My rationale:
Nicks is underperforming and will put up better stats than he has until now.
Most importantly: I dont think you are getting enough points upgrade at QB to deal off a legitimate top 10 WR (granted if Cam continues to put up the exact same numbers as he has up to this point than maybe it makes sense). I agree Lloyd has potential to put up big numbers with McDaniels but lets not forget who is throwing him the ball and just how bad the rams have been this year. Lloyd wont have a big game this week bc questionable bradford and needs time to develop a rapport with QB so he can be bought for lower next week
I have to agree with newtonian. Cam Newton is enticing, but he's not going to give you enough of a point boost to be an obvious better pick than Fitz or Flac.
On the other hand, I own Nicks and I know he's been underperforming, but Eli has been spreading the field out lately and hitting Ballard hard, and Bradshaw blew up last week to boot.
If you're in a 4 point passing touchdown league I definitely wouldn't do it, if you're in a 6 point passing touchdown league I probably still wouldn't do it, even as enticing as Cam Newton is.
And I'll throw out my "about to get flamed" comment.
If it were me I'd trade up on everyone's Chris Johnson is supposd be great mentality, for someone who isn't a 25th place runningback at the end of week 6. Sure he might blow up some time this season, but how many more games are you gonna sit on him before he does?
