who to drop for a bye week TE fill-in? WHIR!

10 team league, standard scoring with bonuses for TD length and milestones. NON-PPR. Start 1QB 2RB 3WR 1TE 1D 1K.

This is a keeper league... we must keep at least 5, and can keep as many as 9, giving up draft picks for extra keepers over 5.

My squad:
QB: Newton, Big Ben, Flacco
RB: AP, Starks, Grant, Lynch, Graham, McGahee, Hardesty, Delone Carter
WR: Austin, Colston, AJ Green, Julio Jones, Nate Washington, Demaryius Thomas
TE: V. Davis
D: DET
K: Janikowski

SF has a bye this week, so Davis won't earn me anything. My issue is that any of the players I would drop would be snatched up in a heartbeat (outside of maybe D. Thomas -- he's my "lotto ticket" at WR and I won't drop him).

Available FA TEs aren't very good -- Shiancoe and Jared Cook are best available.

I am matched up this week against a squad that is hurting due to byes. Am I nuts to consider just leaving my roster "as-is" and starting Davis on the bye? Or is it worth it to drop a player for a 1 week rental at TE? If so, who would you drop?

Again, it's a deep keeper league, so the younger players are more coveted.

If you think you can pull this one out with ease, leave as is. If it's going to be close, I would drop Washington and get Shiancoe. Is Ballard available?

Drop Washington or Carter for either TE. I think they're both good options.
