Want to drop a QB, which one?

Postby peteypablo » Thu Oct 20, 2011 10:25 am

I have Tony Romo as my starter, unfortunately. So I have loaded up on some backups trying to find a better option. But someone just dropped Aaron Hernandez because of his bye and I could use a TE upgrade so a QB has to go to make room.

The other QBs I have are: Tebow, Palmer, and Ryan Fitzpatrick.

After the first few weeks I would never have thought to drop Fitz, but I am considering it. Palmer isnt projected to be that good, but he has a bunch of weapons in Oakland like he never had the last few years in Cincinnati. He had almost 4000 yards last year and 20 TDs and his best WRs are 2 guys no one even uses this year (TO and Ochocinco). Then there's tebow who may run for 100 yards each week with rushing scores that count more in our league.

So which QB to drop of those 3?

Don't drop Fitz!

Tebow or Palmer - your guess is as good as mine. I want to be a believer in Tebow, but I'm not sure he is a NFL QB (but neither was Steve Young and he turned out alright).

Palmer's performance has declined each year since he was really good around 2006. That was 5 years ago! Don't get me wrong, I like Palmer, but I just don't see any superstar upside anymore in him.

Imo - Palmer

Romo/Fitz are good pair of QBs. Jettison Palmer.

palmer

he has been out of it. yes he has been working out with ken o'brien (who the jets picked over marino) but he has to learn new offense and has some tough matchups. not exactly great upside for a back up
please help my team
