Tempting Trade....but I give away Ray Rice - WHIR

Im in a TWO QB, 1/2 PPR League.

I was offered: Brees, Beanie Wells, Stephan Jackson OR Brees, Wells, and Vincent Jackson
For: Ray Rice.

My lineup this week is:
QB Stafford
QB Painter
RB Rice
RB Maurice Morris
RB/WR Tolbert
Flex Fitzgerald
WR Roddy White
WR Dez Bryant
TE Finley

Bench: Felix Jones, Fitzpatrick, Addai, Victor Cruz, Deion Branch

I would then shop Fitzpatrick (would be my 3rd QB) and one of my WR for a RB or WR 1

Should I do this trade? Thanks

Yup, I think I would do it. Its close but how can you not take it? You upgrade at QB 2 going from Painter to Brees! Then downgrade Rice to Wells, however not the worst thing ever as Wells when he has played has looked good. Then I would probably choose S Jackson over V Jackson.

It comes down to what side you like better. I like the right side better. Three starting RB's and 2 top 5 QB's.

Huh. It certainly is tempting. The problem for me with a deal is that you'd also be dropping value to make it happen. You have to consider opportunity cost on this one, since the deal moreso boils down to:

Rice, Painter, and Branch for Brees, Wells, and FJax
OR
Rice, Painter, and Branch for Brees, Wells, and SJax

I like both Painter and Branch, so while it's a small concern, it's also fairly significant. Anyway, I think it's do it, but only for S. Jax, since I think you are weaker at RB.

I agree with you both. Especially since I could trade Fitzpatrick to a guy in the league who's QBs are Ryan and Cassel. He is stacked at WR, and I may be able to flip Fitzpatrick for Miles Austin.

Tempting, with Brees! But only if you could get another RB in another trade. Otherwise you would have to start a bunch of scrubs at RB till Jones come back.
