I'm in a PPR league and I can start 2 RB's, 2 WR's, and a flex spot. Here are a list of my options and who they are playing:
RB - Sproles vs IND RB - Murray vs STL RB - Battle vs OAK RB - Torain vs CAR WR - Roddy vs DET WR - Washington vs HOU WR - Boldin vs JAC WR - Moss vs CAR Byes - Bradshaw, Stevie Johnson
I'm thinking of going Sproles, Murray, Roddy, Washington, and Boldin at flex. I like Washington against HOU since Boldin tore them up last week but Roddy really needs to play like Roddy. I don't see Moss doing much with WAS's QB troubles. Murray could tear STL up since they are 32nd against the run but Battle and Torain have good matchups as well but will probably be splitting a lot of time.
Let me know who you think I should start and I'll help in return. Thanks a lot!
No - play Murry (StL has the worst run defense) and you never know what's you'll get with Torrian, or how mnay carries he may or may not split with Helu and Hightower...Murry for SURE.
The only change I'd make is that I'd play Battle over Washington, otherwise I'd agree with your other choices.
nandaman, why do you like Battle? Isn't he going to split carries with Thomas and McCluster 3 ways? I figured I would play Washington over Boldin either way since Boldin plays JAC and they are pretty solid against the pass, Big Ben only got 1 TD last week.
If you love something, let it go....
If it loves you, it will come back to you...
If it doesn't come back to you...
You can always hunt it down and kill it....
nandaman, my CBS site just updated saying Battle will be the featured back on Sunday. I think I should put Sproles, Murray and Battle at Flex. I'm actually thinking of putting Boldin and Washington at my WR's because Roddy might not do well since ATL is playing DET and they are great against the pass and weak against the run. It might be Turner all night.
Yep Battle over Washington and then you have it right.
Battle had a breakout game and has earned his touches this week. He should be your flex.
Don't sit Roddy White. I know he let you down last week. He let me down to and I still haven't forgiven him for it lol But based on your other options , you have to start him with Julio Jones still out.
Boldin's a solid option against J-Ville. He won't wow you, but he'll be solid.
Darren Sproles has exceeded expectations all year. No reason to think he'll stop now.
And with Felix Jones out, Murray will get the carries in Big D. Don't...and I repeat...DON'T start Torrain. Mike Shanahan is fantasy football satan. He will make you pay for it.
QB: Drew Brees, Matthew Stafford RB: Adrian Peterson, Peyton Hillis, Steven Jackson, Jackie Battle WR: Andre Johnson, Roddy White, Dez Bryant, Steve Smith, Vincent Jackson TE: Vernon Davis, Tony Gonzalez K: John Kasay D/ST: Cincinnati Bengals
Jeff Kearns, thanks for the great advice. I think I will play Battle at the Flex and leave Sproles and Murray in there.
One question though, why Boldin over Washington then? Hassleback has been solid this year and HOU gave up a lot to Flacco last week so Washington might see more targets than Boldin. Let me know your thoughts.
