Drop Gonzo for Branch

Postby ECG77 » Sat Oct 22, 2011 11:26 am

I ended dropping Reggie Wayne. Bold move, yes.

I'm thinking of dropping Tony Gonzalez and picking up Deion Branch. Is he worth picking up since he has an elite QB throwing to him?

I would make the trade, but realize Branch tends to disappear from time to time.

Toss up.
I'd probably keep Gonzo at least one week and try to trade him.

I wouldn't do it. I agree with the previous poster...see if you can get another good week out of Gonzo and then see if someone desperate for a TE will bite on a trade for him. You might even be able to get a better WR than Branch straight up for Gonzo. The only risk is if he has a terrible week his value will go down. But hey, no balls no babies right?

That's what I was thinking of doing. However I'm in a tough league that hardly trade. I don't really need to use Gonzo anymore now that Witten is done with his bye week.

No way. Branch is too feast or famine to like and Gonzo is top 5-7 TE. You should be able to trade him for someone better.

I agree I think Tony Gonzo will have a pretty good week this week and then you could use him as trade bait.
