Was offered Battle for Colston. Question...is Battle just the flavor of the week, or a legit RB option? We start qb, rb(2), wr(2), te, ds & pk each week in 12-team league. I dont have any immediate needs for either player, but there are NO options available on waiver wire, so position definately a premium and good to have depth. Currently 6-0, so in good shape, but definately dont want to rest on it.
Current roster QB: Romo/Cassel/ASmith RB: FJackson/Blount/Graham/TJones/Scott WR: Austin/Nicks/Colston/Cruz/DNelson TE: Graham DST: Lions PK: Gould
If Colston too much, should I ask for WR in return along with Battle or just keep him altogether? He has Rice, Decker & Gaffney that could be possible gets. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated and will definately WHIR, so leave a link.
I would make the move. I think Colston is only marginally better than Cruz or Nelson, but there's a big gap between your two starting RBs and your bench RBs. If you're viewing this purely as a shoring up move, I think it's worthwhile.
I wouldn't do it- I think colston is a proven to produce points, now that he is back and healthy I think he will be a reliable target regardless of how much he likes to toss around the ball. Battle is a starter, yes, but it is splitting carries 3 ways with jones and mccluster.
Colston is too much for an unproven guy like battle, who may not look as good going against a better run d then the Colts. I think Cruz is fair, if he doesn't then I don't think you need to make a move, I don't see a wr out of the ones listed that would even it out. Colston does carry more value then battle, but not enough IMO to ask for a wr along with battle, though you could try, he might be really high on colston who had a very good game last week.
Well you already have depth at WR and it seems you want to take the trade, so do it- you have a great line-up and a great record so your choices have served you well in your league so far because of the time and thought you have put in for each move so trust your gut, it's lead you right so far! Good luck!
I had Colston, and he is hit or miss. U have Austin, and solid nobrainer start no matter what. Ur depth at rb needs help, and i think Battle could give u that. U r in first place though so I wouldnt rush into it. But then Battle tears it up this week, he will withdraw most likely. Ahh the gamble of fantasy.....
