Battle or Torain? WHIR

I'm leaning towards Torain, since Carolina's D is so poor and John Beck is a game manager. Battle IMO won't do as well against Oakland, but a lot of people are saying otherwise. Just looking for more in-depth opinions on this one.

I am stuggling also with playing Battle or Michael Bush. A lot of sites have Battle projected very high, but I can't find much if any reasoning for this. In your case, I would think Torain would be the safer option.

I am in the same boat. Bunch of players on bye and have to start one of these guys.

I've had my lineup set with Torain, but after reading the news posted below, I may change my mind. My thinking is Oakland has a new QB, made a big trade for Aaron Curry, and are at home. They are going to be pumped i think and ready to go...

Torain has Carolina at Carolina and has the QB situation as everyone knows. Hightower has been proclaimed healthy now too and should get a lot of the third down work.

Chiefs offensive coordinator Bill Muir confirmed that Jackie Battle will be the team's feature back, at least for the time being.
Thomas Jones is going to lose his role in the offense. "We basically have a plan in terms of not equally distributing the carries," Muir admitted. "As a staff, we’ve always known (Jackie) has talent. Now that he the opportunity to carry the ball, I think that’s a significant thing." Battle is averaging 5.4 yards through his first 29 carries, and could be in line for as many as 25 totes against the Raiders on Sunday. Dexter McCluster will be a situational passing-down back moving forward.
