I'm in first in my league, and looking to upgrade my TE position to help give my team that extra little edge. I love my roster, and am looking to move Greene + Olsen for a TE.
My team (12-team league, non-PPR, bench in parentheses):
QB: Stafford, (Tebow)
RB: McFadden, Mathews, (Tolbert), (M. Bush), (Greene)
WR: A. Johnson, M. Wallace
Flex: S. Smith (CAR)
Would you rather add Tony Gonzalez or Gronkowski?
Gronkowski seems to have the bigger play capability, but his last three (scoring) weeks have been pretty thin. Anyone have any insight on why the lower numbers in weeks 4,5, and 6? Is it just a symptom of the NE offense that Gronk is feast or famine?
Here's the Gronkowski team roster:
RB: Mendenhall, Battle, Blount, Car. Williams
WR: Calvin Johnson, A. Brown, Lloyd, M. Jenkins
TE: Gronkowski, Clark
I've been offered Gronkowski, Williams and M. Jenkins for Olsen, Greene, and Tebow. I wouldn't make this deal, as I think Jenkins and Williams are barely rosterable. I am considering countering with Olsen + Greene for Gronkowski, though I don't know if he'll do it.
Gonzalez seems more steady, but with lower upside. He would probably be an upgrade for me, but I'm not sure it's enough to justify making the trade.
Here's the Gonzalez team roster:
QB: Kolb, Cutler
RB: M. Turner, D. Williams, M. Lynch, Moreno, Felix Jones
WR: White, Collie, Ochocinco
The owner told me that he'd take Olsen + Greene for Gonzalez + someone else. I'll probably just ask him who he wants to throw in, unless I hear good suggestions here.
Which deal do you think is better? Any ideas on other offers I might make?
