Roddy for Big Ben? read post first!

Postby brosephmcgee » Wed Oct 26, 2011 5:10 pm

Hey guys someone in my league proposed Roddy White for Big Ben and Mike Williams. I would be giving White. Now, my WR corps is lacking some depth (my current team is in sig.), but I have a pending trade to receive Mike Wallace for Saints d, Cundiff, Decker and Lynch. I can afford to give up all those guys for a top 5 WR. I would likely accept the Big Ben trade if this one for Wallace went down.

Basically what I'm asking is should I give up roddy for Big Ben? I know I have Tebow sanchez and freeman. If I did accept i would drop or try to trick someone into trading for sanchez and freeman. Despite the hype i do realize tebow is relatively unproven so big ben would be a great insurance policy, or vice versa.

Thanks guys and sorry if this is really wordy. ;-D

Exactly, that being said would you accept this trade? Kind of confused by your answer.

Sorry, my bad.......I wasnt reading it correctly. I think giving Roddy for Ben is overpaying. I understand your qb needs but you still dont want to overpay. Im not a Tebow guy and dont think you can count on him for much of anything. Infact if you take away the dropped onside kick last week Tebows number would have looked like this 160Yrds 1TD and thats against the Dolphins 31 ranked pass Def. Thats pretty bad IMO. But because there a alot of stupid people out there Tebows value is really high right now so thats who I would trade. I would trade Tebow and another player for an upgrade @qb. Roddy will be fine and having him with Wallace will give you a nice wr corps. I would shoot for some mid level QB's like Romo,Schaub,Ben,Manninng in that order.

Thanks for the clarification. Both trades are not going to go through at this point so it doesnt matter too much. However, I really appreciate the advice you gave me, I'm going to now try to sucker someone into giving me a second tier qb like you said.
