Season Changing Trade 100% WHIR

Postby omikron » Mon Oct 31, 2011 6:51 pm

In my 16 team PPR league, I'd offer:

Jermichael Finley
Rashard Mendenhall
Reggie Bush

FOR

Tony Gonzalez
Anquan Boldin
Tim Tebow

Current Roster:

QB: Romo
WR1: Miles Austin
WR2: Dez Bryant
RB: McCoy
TE: Finley
W/R: Mendenhall
W/T: Greg Little

Bench: Jackie Battle, Daniel Thomas, Mario Hardesty (Dropping), Evan Moore (dropping)

In my mind, I'd get a more consistent TE and W/T, and a QB that might have big weekends compared to Romo who has been doing terrible for me lately.

I would stay put with this trade. A big reason for this is Tebow has not looked so good. I really think he will struggle quite a bit and he has a rough schedule to play. I think Finley will have a better second half of the season. Your WR depth is better then your RB depth and I think losing Mendy will hurt the team. good luck!

I feel like Steelers are becoming EXTREMELY pass heavy, so Mendenhall might not be included much in the offense anymore. Plus, with all the targets Rodgers has (and he loves spreading the ball around), can I really trust any player on the Packers other than Jennings? I feel like Finley still won't get many targets... I'd be trading two potentially good players for two players who HAVE contributed (more than my current players have), while unloading one useless player (Bush) for huge potential (Tebow, if he could get any passing game going, he'd be like a poor mans Vick)

You're giving up too much for average players. Boldin is exceeding expectations for sure, especially once the O-Line gets better and the Ravens begin no-huddle shotgun offense. Finley will be OK - true that they have lots of folks to throw to, but he's a sure endzone threat. Mendenhall is a top back in my biased ways.. they'll have to run after Rapistberger gets the crap beaten out of him vs the Ravens this week. Bush is an emerging threat with Thomas out. In return, the only person that'd help you is Boldin. Stay put.

I couldn't do this. Look for another option IMO. I don't think Tebow really has much value this season, Boldin is having trouble getting open (or getting Flacco to throw it accurately) and will be inconsistent IMO. Finley isn't having the huge year many thought, but he still puts up numbers and has the potential to explode.
