Chris Johnson for Beanie Wells?

Postby mpapa720 » Mon Oct 31, 2011 8:57 pm

I was offered Beanie Wells and Julio Jones for CJ and Stevie Johnson

12-team PPR league that starts 1QB, 2RBs, 3WRs, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1K, and 1D/ST

My current team (starters in bold):

QB - Brees
RBs - CJ, Murray, Ingram, Ringer, Helu, Ridley
WRs - Austin, S. Johnson, Lloyd, Floyd
TEs - A. Hernandez, F. Davis
K - Doesn't really matter
D/ST - Doesn't really matter

Should I cut bait with CJ or not?

Dang this is a tough call. On one side, you're getting 2 players coming off injuries. Jones is a sleeper in my opinion if he stays healthy. He'll find himself open often with Roddy White, Turner and Tony Gonzo getting most of thethe focus from defense.

I wouldn't do it.

I'm sorry I read your topic wrong, i thought YOU had wells and julio jones, but you have the latter. Pull the trigger I'd do it.

Do it, CJ isn't even going to be a feature back going forward, Beanie Wells could be a top10 back if he stays healthy. I think Julio Jones will be nearly as good as Stevie going forward and Wells is muchhh more valuable than CJ at this point.

I'm seriously considering taking this deal for 2 reasons.

1. Stevie Johnson has a tough schedule ahead (2 games vs. the Jets and 1 vs. the Titans)
2. Nobody knows if CJ will ever break out (He already seems to be losing his grip on the starting job to Ringer, who I also have). Wells, though injured, would give me a definitive answer as to whether I should start him or not because of an injury. It'd give me a lot easier choice than wondering whether to start CJ or not.

i would take it. CJ is a bust and beanie wells has been pretty consistent when hes healthy. its tough to let stevie go but julio is legit and the points you'll get from wells should definitely make up for any lost from stevie
