I'm in a standard yahoo h2h league and I'm up 3 points with the only player remaining in the match-up, LeSean McCoy. I can bench him and secure the victory right now. However, standard yahoo h2h tie breaking procedures are based off of total points scored during the year. I am currently tied for 1st place in my league, but the other owner is up on me by 20 pts or so, for the year. In situations like this, what do the pros recommend? Should I bench McCoy and seal the victory, or should I take the (albeit slight) risk and start him to try to win the possible tie breaker for the end of the year? As a friend pointed out to me, it is entirely possible, while highly unlikely, that McCoy coughs up a couple of fumbles and gets hurt, thus making me lose. Any insight based off of experience is greatly appreciated. Leave a link and I'll hit you back.
I would start him. It would be extremely bad luck and also highly unlikely if he somehow lost a couple fumbles, had low offensive stats to negate those fumbles then got injured and left the game.
Yea leave him in I like to pour on the points in wins Just to make sure I continue to lead the league in points. If you get enough points it's essentially like having an extra game lead and that game could be very important as we approach playoff time.

Another reason to start him is that the stats you now see are not official. There could be adjustments that cost you a point or two and give your opponent a point or two...and you could then lose.
