Postby m0nk3y » Wed Nov 09, 2011 10:32 am

Hi people, I need a hand setting my lineup this week (standard scoring, no PPR, 10-team):

QB: Eli Manning
RB2: Adrian Peterson
RB1: Matt Forte
WR1: Greg Jennings
WR2: ?
FLEX (WR / RB /TE): ?
TE: Rob Gronkowski
DST: Houston Texans
K: John Kasay

WR: Percy Harvin, Antonio Brown, Mike Williams (TB), Early Doucet
RB: Marshawn Lynch, Jackie Battle
TE: Vernon Davis
Other: Matt Schuab, Bears D

Thanks in advance guys, and I will absolutely give my 2 cents to anyone who would like it.

Early Doucet is emerging as a decent number 2 WR for the cards and Jackie Battle is decent as long as the chiefs don't screw up in the beginning and are forced to pass later on. Your other starters are pretty solid.

Help with mine?

QB Cam Newton
WR Demaryius Thomas
WR Justin Blackmon
RB Marshawn Lynch
RB Ahmad Bradshaw
TE Tony Gonzalez
W/R/T Owen Daniels
K Lawrence Tynes
DEF Bears
Mike Williams
Torrey Smith
Vick Ballard
Andy Dalton

First, thanks for the help on mine.... On yours. I've got to admit I haven't been following any of these players closely, so here's my outsiders look...

1. Is there a reason NOT to put Percy Harvin in? On paper the matchup looks good. He has been putting up good numbers. I see he did poorly against GB in week 7 but why? Is it likely to happen again? I think, unless you are sure the poor performance in week 7 will repeat, you should go with Percy.

2. To me it's a coin toss on the running backs for the flex. Maybe with the edge to Battle on the match up. I'll always take a risky running back over a risky receiver. Especially in a non-PPR league so factor that in.

Take this for what it's worth.

I'd go with Brown - he's had a great couple of weeks and even though the Bengals Pass D is amazing the Steelers passing game has been on fire lately. Doucets not an awful option, the Eagles D didn't look great Monday night. For a RB I'd go Lynch, Battle hasn't really had a good game and Lynch has. I'm not expecting big things from Battle.

I like A. Brown and Lynch/Battle in the flex. Pretty much a toss-up for me, probably slightly favor Battle.

Help with mine ?
