WR 2 and FLEX Help! Too many good options! lol WHIR

Postby DVeit » Wed Nov 09, 2011 7:52 pm

Ok I have a good problem here. I have too many good players and it's making my decision really difficult. On top of that, I'm playin my GF this week and she has a kick ass team as well. (I have to beat her)
Here's my roster as it sits (and what i'm leaning towards to start)
I'm torn between Nicks, Nelson, Julio, McGahee, and Battle.

QB M Stafford
RB Arian Foster
RB Fred Jackson
WR Calvin Johnson
-WR Julio Jones (vs NO)
TE Fred Davis
-FLEX (rb) Willis McGahee (vs DEN)

Bench
QB Big Ben
-RB Jackie Battle (vs KC)
-WR Hakeem Nicks (Questionable?) (vs SF)
-WR Jordy Nelson (vs MIN)
WR Jacoby Ford

ANY help GREATLY Appreciated!! WHIR

It's close. but I'd go Nicks if Healthy, and Jones if not (maybe even if) at WR2. McGahee at flex is a lock.
Week 13

QB - Tim Tebow
WR - Hakeem Nicks
WR - Dez Bryant
RB - Ray Rice
RB - Ryan Mathews
TE - Jermichael Finley
W/R/T - Vincent Jackson
BN - Tony Romo
BN - Julio Jones
BN - Roy Helu
BN - Ben Tate
BN - Kevin Smith
K - Mason Crosby
D - Houston

Personally I would start Nelson over Jones this week as he has the more favorable matchup. Definitely keep McGahee at FLEX though. Also, I wouldn't risk Nicks this week as he seems a bit too risky as a questionable.

I'd go Nelson in your WR2.

He has a pretty favorable matchup against Minnesota.
He isn't the number 1 target, but Rodgers likes to hit them all anyways.

and Flex, I'd keep McGahee!

For some reason my gut keeps tellin me jones. Jordy will prob do good but isn't targeted often. I'm afraid they'll jump ahead and keep the ball low. Where as Im thinking Julio will be #1 targeted and theyll be passing a lot the whole game. Idk I think they'll both do good with a td but I see jj with the yards. Tough! Anyone else?

I've got a similar struggle on my hands, but I'm thinking Jordy over Jones as well. He has a ton of fantasy points this year, most of his games he's had over 10 points in standard scoring. Jones may have the chance to get a bunch of points but he's only done it once this year, unlike Jordy. Seems like McGahee at flex is the right call with those receivers as options.

Thank you. It seems most of you say Jordy where as I look other places I see more towards Jones. I think I'll just stick with my gut this week. That way I can only be mad at myself. lol
