Pick a Few Receivers - WHIR

Postby Pl3onner » Thu Nov 10, 2011 3:36 pm

Both standard scoring non PPR leagues.

Pick Two:
A.J. Green vs Pit
J Jones vs NO
Dez Bryant vs Buf
Cruz vs SF
J Nelson vs Min

Pick 3:
Cruz vs SF
A Brown vs Cinci
Washington vs Car
Hey-Bey vs SD
Olsen vs Ten*
Ballard vs SF*
*Must start at least 1 Tight End

Also in this league I can pick up
David Nelson vs Dal
Breaston vs Mia
Ford vs Den
Bennet vs Phili

I can drop HeyBey but I'm in no rush especially because I also have Hanson and Akers at K and with Hanson getting stitches I might as well drop him.

WHIR 100% as always, just leave your link. Thanks.

A.)

Dez is a must start with no Austin
Nelson, because he is a beast obviously
However, Julio is a close third

B.) This is tougher...
Definatly Brown... I have been very impressed with him lately. Over 10pts in each of the last 3 games
I think Cruz is your best bet. He will still get alot of looks this week, but maybe not next week
And Olsen for TE obvi

A..

Bryant is must start with Austin out. Witten and Robinson will take some heat off of him and teams have to respect Murray.
If CIN were against any other team than PIT, i'd say Green, but I have to give more love to Nelson in this matchup against MIN. MIN is poor in general against the pass, but even worse against #2 receivers.

B

Olsen is your tight end, no questions there. Ballard is going to be blocking Willis and Bowman from ripping Eli's head off.
Cruz had more targets last week than anyone else and Nicks may play but isn't fully healthy, so use Cruz.
Brown has more targets than almost anyone and with Sanders going to miss a few weeks and Ward old and hurt, he's a great middle distance threat for Ben. Go with him.

Lions worked out two kickers (didn't sign anyone yet though) so be prepared to get rid of Hanson if necessary. I'd watch Bennett to see how his relationship with Cutler works out. Breaston is a solid #2 receiver for his team, but more of a #3/4 for fantasy.
Lineup (starters in Bold)
QB - RG3, Romo
RB - McCoy, MJD,AP, MJD
WR - Nelson, Austin, T.Smith, Wallace
TE - Graham, Bennett
DST - Lions
K - Tucker

Nelson and Jones. The games they are involved in should be the biggest shootouts. (Cruz could have a good game too).

For B, Ballard for TE, Cruz and Brown for WR. Eli will need to pass for the Ginats to win. Nate is hurt and although he likely is going to play, the Carolina pass d is quite good. DHB is not consistent enough with Palmer for me to recommend him.

I would make a decision on breaston soon, as he is stepping up his game to push rookie Baldwin to 3 on the depth chart. if he has not already.
Im not convinced by Ford yet.
I have picked up Bennette because his reward factor could be huge.
I would consider nelson too, although he doesnt find the endzone very much... AND i have s. Johnson.

Starting from the ground up because I had this decision too.
Olsen > Ballard Theyre both good, but Cam loves Olsen. While Eli loves Ballard, I feel like hes just not consistent enough yet (although he did wonders for me as Olsen had a bye last week)

Brown- He did enough damage on yards alone last week, but i just dont know how i feel about him
Cruz- He has stepped up big time.
Washington- I dropped him because i was so disgusted at so many of his performances. I might have to pick him back up, but he remains a big upside if he has his good day.
DHB- Eh. New QB.

Cruz, Washington, and Brown are my picks.

Your top two are going to be Jordy Nelson, and Dez Bryant
Based on the matchup, and their team positions... Dez Bryant will most likely get top receiver targets... ( Not that he doesn't already ) And Jordy Nelson has signed up for a shoot out every game... Any receiver on that team should probably start this week.

Good luck, friend!

Hmmm, some tough calls. I'd go with Bryant and Nelson for the first one (though Jones is close), and Cruz, Brown, Olsen for the second. Good luck with it.

Help me out?
