GIving away Hillis? =WHIR=

Postby thepsychic » Fri Nov 11, 2011 2:57 pm

I have a pretty stacked team and I wouldnt' mind upgrading some positions, such as TE. I currently have Olsen & Celek. I'm debating trading Hillis & one of those TEs for Aaron Hernandez and Jason Hanson (Kicker for DET). I have Kasay who has a bye in week 11 and don't want to drop him. Hillis is probably my most droppable player (slightly edging out Daniel Thomas, which I guess would be another option). The reason for this trade is:

1. Upgrade TE spot w/Aaron Hernandez for a playoff run (I'm not in danger of missing playoffs in my standard non-ppr league)
2. I need a kicker for week 11 an don't want to drop Kasay.

I'd basically be dumping Hillis onto a team that is unlikely to make the playoffs. I don't want to drop Hillis and have a contender pick him up.

So, is this wise strategy? Should I just drop Kasay (top Kicker so far this season) in week 11? Hold onto Hillis? Or do you think Hillis is not worth the trouble at this point?

Thanks!

Sounds like a good trade to me. Hernandez is an upgrade over either of your TEs. Sadly (since I drafted him in one league) I think Hillis has no value going forward. Getting anything for him is a win in my book. It's just a bonus that you cover your kicker bye as well.

If you can find someone to take that trade, then go for it ! I don't see Hillis doing a lot after returning from injury. Getting a top level TE like Hernandez would be a steal. Best of Luck !

Help me out ? Thanks

I dont think anyone would make that trade to you. I also think if you dropped hillis a contender wont pick him up. If you can make that trade then say hello to a fantasy championship ring.
