WR and Flex Help Needed! WHIR 100%

Postby bigpapasmurf » Sat Nov 12, 2011 3:02 pm

Okay, so got 3 spots to fill for tomorrow, 2WRs and 1 Flex (WR or RB). Standard scoring, non-PPR league. Advice please!

WRs- Hakeem Nicks (Q), Jeremy Maclin, DeSean Jackson, AJ Green, Victor Cruz
RBs- Beanie Wells (P)

Nicks has been nursing a hammy injury, didnt play last week and was limited this week but will probably play Sunday. Wells has had a knee issue but apparently is feeling much better and is listed as probable vs. being Ques the last 2 weeks. Any advice is greatly appreciated, please give at least some rationale behind your choice tho. Thanks, and as always WHIR if post link

At WR, I would go with Maclin and Green. Both are the "go-to" wr's for their teams and would have the best chance to score/get yards.

Flex: That's a bit dicey. Nicks and DeSean are boom-or-bust. If you are playing a team better than you, you might want to start one of these guys. Wells has a good match up, but if 'zona gets down early, he'll be a non-factor. The safe pick is Cruz.

Tough question indeed. Have a seat cause class is now in session.
SIT A.J. Green- Pittsburgh on average doesn't allow any passing game to go over 200 yards. Green & Dalton have done very well this season but not when facing a formidable defense. Pittsburgh fits this criteria. Sit him.

START Beanie Wells- Beanie's skill nor the matchup were ever in question. The question was: Would he be healthy enough to be productive? He practiced fully Friday and said he is feeling the best he has in weeks. Good enough for me. Start him.

SIT Hakeem Nicks- This guy is barely at 50% health right now. Nicks' hamstring is not feeling well. The only reason he's being considered to play is because Manningham is in even worse shape than he is. Manningham woke up on Saturday with some serious swelling in his knee. Both Nicks and Manningham are game-time decisions as of right now with Manningham less likely and Nicks more likely to play. Sit him.

START Victor Cruz- (See above) Start him.

SIT DeSean Jackson- Michael Vick just prefers throwing to Jeremy Maclin more and the Arizona Cardinals afford Vick the luxury of being picky to who he throws to since they are just god-awful at pass defense allowing nearly 300 yds/gm. on average.

START Jeremy Maclin- (See above) Start him.
