The Unofficial Fantasy League Award Ideas Thread!

What do you guys do as prizes and awards for different things in your league? I'm trying to keep things interesting for the whole league that I'm the commish in. It's just me and a bunch of my buddies. It's kind of late to come up with things this late in the league, but whatever. 10 Man League, thinking about inserting the idea of having 1 player keepers for each team. Some ideas I've had..

1st Place:
- Wins $$$
- Keeper Pick of Any Player in the League (Not Counted as Keeper)
- Trophy
- Gets to pick the name of the team in last place for 2012 season

2nd Place:
- Wins $

Best Record:
- Keeper Pick of Any Player in the League (Not Counted as Keeper)
--- 1st Place Winner gets first choice before the guy with the Best Record
--- If 1st Place has best record, that 2nd keeper is counted as a Keeper

Worst Record:
- Gets their team named next year
- Owes the League champion a shot (not to exceed $5)

Winner of Consolation Bowl:
- Shit Trophy
- Keeper Pick of Any Player in the League (Not Counted as Keeper)


What do you guys do in your leagues?

Alright, I think I have more of an idea of what I'm gonna do, but still open to ideas. 10 man league, keeping it to 4 teams in the playoffs. If I do 6 playoff teams, then those other 4 teams aren't even gonna play that week, along with the two top byes in the playoffs, so stupid.

I'm gonna have the 4 team playoffs for the championship. 4 team consolation playoffs. And 2 team Toilet Bowl.

Winner of the League Championship:
- Gets the biggest $$$ prize
- Gets trophy (to be found at nearest flea market)
- Gets to name the team name the loser of the Toilet Bowl for the 2012 season
- Gets last drafting position in the 2012 draft

2nd Place in League Championship:
- Gets smaller $$$ prize

Winner of the Toilet Bowl
- Gets shit trophy
- Gets 1st pick of the 2012 draft

Loser of the Toilet Bowl
- Owes League Champion a shot/drink (not to exceed $5)
- Has to let League Champion name his 2012 team

Best Record in the League
- Gets choice of drafting position in the 2012 draft (goes to 2nd place if best record is also the League Champ)

Well, I know it's not original, but just to help get your thread rolling. We do 75% cash for 1st, 15% for 2nd, 10% for 3rd (basically, money back), and a trophy. We were thinking of doing something better than a trophy, like a game ball or a fathead.

We do very similiar..

We have teh bottom two in a shit bowl for a toilet seat trophy.
We have a league champion. (Best record in regular season)
We have a super bowl tourney with a seperate trophy. Top eight teams go 3 week tourney.

We dont involve money as its a bunch of freinds. We do however pay for a room in Reno for both the league and Superbowl champs. The whole league is to attend the end of the year party with the wives. If you win a room and no show, we take your room money and buy drinks for those that actually show up. We always go up mid Jan. during the divisional round of the playoffs and watch the games in Reno. Its a good weekend getaway...

We added naming the last place team so teams that are out of it have an incentive to keep trying. I had the honor of winning that one last year. Even though I dont play in a keeper league, I think its too much of an advantage to give the champ an extra keeper over everyone else. We also added a $100 weekly prize to the highest points of the week

My issue is - why was this not decided prior to the season??? Some of those are pretty drastic for being decided in week 11 of the season. If this happened in any of my leagues it would be the last year that I play - whether I win or lose the league, having rules on drafting slots, keepers, prize money, etc. is not something that should be decided in week 11.
