WHIR Austin for Alex Smith WHIR make or break!!!!

Here is the sitaution time to nut up or shut up, Alex Smith is a bench man in my 2 QB league behind stafford and brees, do i move him for miles austin. My record is 6-4 in 6th place and need to win 2 of 3 to clinch depending on how things play out, 7th team is 4-6 so i could get in at 7-6 on points if 7 wins 3, currently have 120 more points than 7. Alex will sit and austin is super tempting but how effective will he be? Also the guy i play this week will be on the receiving end of this trade. 12 team ppr essentially a 2 QB league. QB, 3 WR, 2RB, 1 TE QB/WR/RB/TE
My Team His Team
QB Brees, Stafford, A smith Shaun hill Rivers Ponder
WR NIcks, Decker, Rice, A Brown, Bennett Steve smith(good one), B Marshall, Bess, Douglas, walter, austin
RB McCoy, Felix, Beanie, Battle,Obg(browns), R brown McCluster Benson LT woodhead
TE Olson Ballard, Miller, Keller

Lineups for the game look like
QB, Q/R/W/T Stafford, A Smith River, Ponder
WR Decker, Nicks, Bennett, or Rice Smith Marshall, Bess
RB McCoy, Beanie or F Jones Benson, McCluster
TE Olson Ballard
K Hanson Cundiff
DEF Buffalo (what was i thinking) Atlanta

Play worst guy in league and first after this whats your call? i am leaning towards with the way the other teams are but not sure how effective miles will be and may lose this week if i do this trade. Also considering moving stafford for tebow and AJ green. a lot to take in just leave a link and i will get you back

if you don't play alex smith on a regular basis anyways, why not take a chance? miles will play again within the next few weeks and you're getting value here to the maximum. you're trading a bench player for a sure fire starting WR when healthy (been banged up, but). i'd roll with it!

help me?

I'd say it's a relatively safe gamble. I'd make the move for Austin seeing that your WR core light.

sounds like a decent risk to take.
austin could put up huge numbers when healthy. especially with the emergence of laurent robinson.

question is, if something were to happen to one of your QB's, is there anything left in free agency?

lil' help

I don't see any downside to this. Austin is a decent WR pickup, even though he hasn't been totally healthy/productive this year like last. Jerry's 'Boys are a loosin, and that means Tony will be a throwin! Dez and Myles will see targets from here out. Smith is a risky fantasy Q - as you know - even to the point where his inconsistency would lead me to make the same decision you've made: I would start an inconsistent Stafford over an inconsistent Smith almost any week.

Go for it.

Wow I'd definitely make this deal. Austin has been a very consistent producer thus far and Alex Smith is never worth playing ahead of Stafford and Brees.
