Trade for Megatron or stand pat?

Postby pokerplaya » Wed Nov 16, 2011 7:37 pm

12 team, ppr league. QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, TE, W/R, K, D, 4 bench spots

QB: Rivers, Palmer, Tebow
WR: Bryant, Colston, Holmes, D. Moore, Wayne
RB: McCoy, Rice, Benson
TE: Gronkowski
K: Gould
D: JAC

I'm considering making an offer for Megatron to a team that has been decimated by injuries and is having trouble putting a complete team on the field week to week. The offer would be:

Bryant, Holmes and Benson for Megatron

My thought for the deal is that Megatron and Colston would be more than enough out of my WR's and would make my team better in the long term, despite likely weakening my chances this week. The case against is that with byes for Colston and Wayne, this week could be a struggle. If I made this deal I likely would use D. Moore / Wayne as my flex from here on out where as if I stood pat, I would be able to have Bryant/Colston as my WR's and Holmes as a more consistent flex option.

This deal would clearly weaken my depth, but I think makes me better overall. Thoughts?

I don't really see him accepting it unless he lacks any depth whatsoever AND is struggling to make playoffs.

But yeah, for sure, I'd make the deal if I were you.

Switch Megatron for Dez & throw Moore in at your flex and you've improved your starting line-up IMO.

Do it and make sure you get Ricky Williams for depth.

I don't know that he will accept, but that's precisely the case. He has like 4 injured guys and is now starting committee backs. He went from 4-1 to 5-5 and is on the cusp.

I would go for it, if he is hurting that bad he may go for the depth to be competitive. Good luck
