RB and TE help : WHIR!!

Postby numb9number » Thu Nov 24, 2011 7:24 am

Now with AP possibly out for the week, I need to choose 2 out of the following 4 RBs (PPR League) :

Murray vs. MIA
Michael Bush vs. CHI
Ryan Matthews vs. DEN
Kevin Smith vs. GB

I am thinking of the first 2... what do you think ?

And a TE question :

Hernandez vs. NYG
Fred Davis vs. SEA (worst against defending TEs)

Appreciate any suggestion you have and please leave a link !

hernandez? hernandez is playing the eagles, not the giants.. and i wouldnt start him with the way gron is playing, so def fred davis... as to your rb questions... rule out matthews, the other three it becomes a little tough... you have 3 backs capable of scoring 30 points in a ppr league, so you have to determine who has the most downside... i dont really know if you can go wrong here, i think they are all going to have big games... if mcfadden is back bench bush, even though he will still probably do great... if hes not back, ugh, i guess i bench smith and hope he doesnt score 40 points in a shootout... murray is just such a beast, but the dolphins D is honestly not a good match up... if i had to pick though i guess i would start bush ( as long as run dmc isnt back) and murray

Murray.....Miami defends the run well but Murray is a fantasy stud, especially in PPR leagues. And you always start your studs.
Bush.......Playing very well, but runs into a quality Bears run defense this week.
Davis......Davis is a talented TE but struggles due to this lousy offense. But gets back on track vs Seahawks!

Murray because he's been hot and Bush because you don't sit him while DMC's out.

I suppose Davis at TE.

Thanks for your help!
10 rushing yards - 1 pt
10 receiving yards - 1 pt
20 passing yards - 1 pt
All TDs - 6 pts (QBs favored)

MIA has a fairly decent pass defense.. I think Dallas is going to lean on Murray.. and Bush is a beast who is going to be a free agent next year.. he wants to play as well as he can while he is the starter. Ryan Matthews..eh..you never know whats going to happen with Tolbert. And Smith might be a flash in the pan. I would have confidence starting murray and Bush

as for the TE.. tough call.. I would side with Fred Davis I think

I'd go Murray and Bush, both good sleepers who have proven themselves but all of the RBs should do fine this week. Matthews is a bit more inconsistent and Smith is tempting but he only has had one good game, given it was amazing.

I'd go Hernandez, he's got a better chance to score a TD even though Grossman finally seemed to get comfortable last week. Moss back kinda cements that.
