Harvin vs. Lloyd & Blount vs Smith (WHIR...a lot!)

Postby SirGrotius » Thu Nov 24, 2011 7:39 am

Two choices:

Harvin @ ATL or Lloyd vs. ARI

- I've been rocking Lloyd, but Harvin seems to be popping. Harvin has had some rib soreness, but AP is out so may have an extra run or two

Blount @ TEN or K.Smith vs. GB

- Every time I sit Blount he goes off; every time I start him he has a nice TD run. Can't put my finger on Kevin Smith

Thanks in advance and leave a link!
10 rushing yards - 1 pt
10 receiving yards - 1 pt
20 passing yards - 1 pt
All TDs - 6 pts (QBs favored)

Harvin.....He's the only Viking worth starting, seems to have made a connection with Ponder so he's worth playing

Harvin ... for all the reasons mentioned

I am tempted to say Smith... but I would go with Blount. A similar back (Michael Turner) took TEN for 100 yards last Sunday.. so I would give Blount a chance here. Plus this game is going to be possibly close, so BLount will be running.. GB on the other hand can go up pretty quickly against DET and they may stop running.

i would start harvin, because there is definitely more upside.. but if you are in a tightly projected match and you want someone who is pretty much going to exactly match his projection then you can start lloyd who has been extrememly consisten with 13-17 points every week for the last 5 weeks in a row... personally id go with harvin, since i think hes likely to score 20-25 points... As far as your rb decision, i am having the same issue as you! I would say smith because i think hes in store for a big game, at least thats where i am leaning towards myself at the moment

Tough calls. I'd have to say Lloyd is the safer play here, he's more consistent and any Viking is a risky starter right now.

I would go Smith here but I'm not the biggest Blount fan. He seems pretty inconsistent so I'd rather take the bigger upside and go Smith. Blount is probably the safer ~ 10 point call.

Lookin forward to your advice - viewtopic.php?f=19&t=509266&p=3402497#p3402497

Harvin: even though he is doing better he scares me because he is on the Viks, I'd probably go with Lloyd. DET will be passing a lot so if it was PPR I'd go Smith, since it doesn't look that way I would go Blount.

thanks for help with mine
