Hello all, and thanks for any input.
We are in a 12-team money league where 4 teams make the playoffs. With the remaining two weeks left, 8 teams can still possibly make it. This is a collusion question based on the current 3rd place team trading Eric Decker, Packers D/ST, and L. Blount for Marshawn Lynch and Jonathan Stewart from a team who is not in contention. What's sketchy about this:
Eric Decker is coming off of a 0 in week 11 and has Tim Tebow throwing to him. The 3rd place team has 3 or 4 viable week-to-week WR options, rendering Decker useless.
The 3rd place team has the Texans D/ST, which has been putting up good numbers as of late. Giving up Packers D/ST is not a big hit.
L. Blount has been inconsistent at best.
Marshawn Lynch has been absolutely BEAST MODE this month.
Jonathan Stewart has been splitting carries w/ D. Williams and is coming off a strong week. (and is about to face Indy and TB, two weak Ds)
Add all of this up, and it seems quite sketchy to me, any thoughts?
One of the central questions to ask here is the following: "If the team which is not in contention had a shot at the playoffs, would he make this trade? Does his team improve from it?"
He currently has MJD, M. Lynch, J. Stewart, G. Jennings, and A. Boldin as his RB/WR/flex. Does Eric Decker and L. Blount improve this lineup?
If I'm looking too much into this, let me know. Thanks for reading!
