Jags fire Del Rio/Franchise to be sold

Hopefully they stay in JAX. I'd hate to see them lose their NFL franchise.

While announcing the sale of the Jacksonville Jaguars to auto-parts mogul Shahid Khan on Tuesday, owner Wayne Weaver also fired longtime coach Jack Del Rio.

Weaver made both announcements during a news conference, as well as a three-year contract extension for general manager Gene Smith. NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora first reported the move to dismiss Del Rio, who informed his coaching staff of the decision on Tuesday, according to a team source.

I have been calling for the firing of Del Rio since before his punter cut his foot on an ax that the num-num left in the locker room after using it as a motivational prop. Good for the league to rid itself of this goofball. Happy for MJD that he doesn't have to waste his career playing for a loser coach.
As for where the Jags go from here I hope they stay in this country, but like the majority of people living in the Jacksonville area I couldn't care less where they end up.
