WR help, WHIR!

Postby joegoody41 » Thu Dec 01, 2011 11:22 am

For my WR2 spot, who should I start this week? Standard scoring.

Dwayne Bowe @ CHI
Doug Baldwin vs. PHI
Reggie Wayne @ NE
Santana Moss vs. NYJ
Julio Jones @ HOU

Lots of options here, but all are risky. Bowe is the best of that bunch, but has a tough matchup and even if Orton gets the start, he hasn't had much time to get accustomed. With Rice hurt, Baldwin is the #1 option in SEA now, but it's still Jackson at QB. Wayne is coming off a big week and has a good matchup, but it's been the same story for him all year with a shaky QB situation. Moss is likely not an option this week because of Revis. Jones might not play, and HOU is strong against the pass.

Leave a link and I'll help you out. Thanks.

I'd probably stick w/ Bowe even w/ the matchup ... he's had 7 catches in each of his last 2 games (are you in a PPR league?), including 7/69yds against a tough Pittsburgh D.

I'd also stick up Bowe, he's the best option.

I would take Bowe over anyone, but the way he played last game and the qb situation im not too sure now. Baldwin seems like the better option especially with no Sidney Rice. Only thing is, you gotta worry about the eagles secondary and how they will easily be able to shutdown baldwin who's a decent wr. So with all that, i guess i would take bowe!

hope that helps!

Thanks for the help with mine!

Yep, it's Bowe. He gets enough targets and has the talent to bring a sizeable portion of them in. His team will probably spend the most time behind as well.

I'd avoid Julio (if he plays) and Moss as well. Wayne is an interesting one for me. I don't think much of NE's secondaries at all but a rough year for Wayne. Baldwin v. PHI doesn't look very good to me and with Rice out, it could actually be tougher coverage on him. I think Bowe will struggle vs. CHI to get into the endzone but they have given up a ton of yards this year (3rd most in the league). I think he's your conventional safe bet. If you want to gamble, I think it's Wayne.

Thanks for helping with mine.
