Must win: Big Ben or Tebow?? WHIR

Postby jwhatti » Sat Dec 03, 2011 1:13 pm

To make the playoffs, I have to win the week. My only question is do I start Big Ben (vs Cin) or Tebow (@Min)?

Relevant scoring:
Passing Yards: 20 yards per point; 5 points at 300 yards; 10 points at 400 yards; 20 points at 500 yards

Passing Touchdowns: 6

Interceptions/fumbles: -2

Rushing Yards: 10 yards per point; 5 points at 100 yards; 10 points at 200 yards; 20 points at 300 yards

Rushing Touchdowns: 6

Give me Purple Jesus (Tim Tebow). Tebow sucks as a QB in real life but top 10 QB in fantasy this year. Plus he's got a Quarterback's wetdream matchup vs. Min.

I agree I think Tebow is the best bet here. Ben looked funky last week. Tebow looks comfortable, although I dont know how long their offense lasts before their option is picked apart. Even so, Tim Tebow has huge upside this week with his TD potential. Start em!

in 6 pt per passing TD league, I would go Big Ben. Yes, he has looked a little gimpy. Yes, Tebow runs for lots of yards. But, MIN is still pretty tough against the run.

Real reason: 80% of the betting is on the Broncos in that game. Sharks, all playing MIN. Min will win that game. DEN probably won't score 20 points, again. Tebow can't keep riding long runs in the 4th quarter to fantasy upside.

I like Ben in a huge game to play well and throw at least a couple TD's. Much less downside to me.
