There's certainly enough of an interest to warrant a vote about IR.

First, I figure we'll just have a simple IR/No IR vote, then we'll figure out stuff like how many slots and also PUP. WE'll also need to talk about the procedure for reactivating players once the season is over and how that fits into off-season roster limits (which in itself is an issue for another poll).

To clarify, these are the specific IR rules we are voting on:

  • Only players on the NFL IR may be placed on the fantasy IR.
  • Once placed on fantasy IR they may not be activated to the roster.
  • Per NFL rules, a player needs to be added to active roster before they can be deactivated to IR (which Flea Flicker allows, I believe).
  • Will take effect starting 2012 season.

As stated in the Constitution, rule changes need 10 votes in favour to pass.

Zealots does the IR slot and is also dynasty - I suggest we simply copy their timeline regarding when IR players become activated and count against your roster limit in the offseason

In favor - with going to a 30 man roster next season I don't think we need any more that 2 IR slots.

I would rather have IR spots. If we add roster spots, I want those spots to have a purpose. Not having IR slots was a huge oversight because of how quickly we put this together (and did a great job, overall). It's a dynasty. I'm only in one other dynasty without IR slots, and I hate that. It makes no sense to me. It's punishing you for bad luck when no punishment is needed.
