A good probmem? - MJD or Beanie Wells?

Postby sportsrap » Thu Dec 15, 2011 11:02 am

With a trip to the Fantasy Super Bowl on the line, I need to choose between

Maurice Jones-Drew at Atlanta
-or-
Beanie Wells home vs. Cleveland

My other RB is Chris Johnson vs. Indy. I am starting him no matter what.

MJD Pros
1) He is the better running back
2) He will not get hurt mid-game
3) New coach seems to want to throw it to him more as well
4) He wants to win the rushing title

MJD Cons:
1) The Jaguars will be playing from behind
2) The Falcons run defense is top notch
3) The game is in Atlanta on Prime Time
4) Do the Jaguars have any chance of scoring more than 14 points?

Beanie Pros
1) He is playing at home against a bad Browns run defense
2) The Cards are on a hot streak and should win this game
3) The Cards should score 20+ points

Beanie Cons
1) He could blow out his knee on the first play and get no fantasy points
2) He has been inconsistent - a higher ceiling with this matchup, but also a lower floor
3) Not involved in the passing game

Everyone's thoughts?

Gotta go MJD here. He will get the bulk of the workload regardless of the situation. While Wells has more "situational" upside I think. You didn't make it this far in your league to make decisions based on "if's" now that you're in the playoffs.
