Ugh, here goes...somehow I have managed to finagle my way into the championships with no QB to speak of. I am the overwhelming(underwhelming?) underdog this week, and am looking for that home run threat of a QB. Unfortunately, all my sluggers are batting about .165. Here's the breakdown:
Carson Palmer, Oak @ KC
Rex Grossman, Was vs Min
Ryan Fitzpatrick, Buf vs Den
All of those players have the ability to put up less than 10 points. Carson Palmer is probably the safest bet, as he hasn't put up less than 11 points since becoming the starter ( my league scores 4 points for passing TD's, -1 for INT's). The weather looks to be mild in KC this Saturday as well, predicted to be 44 degrees and sunny. However, KC is a tough place to play, with the crowd noise, so I'm afraid that Oakland will try to run all game. I hear Grossman is supposed to do well this weekend, but he scares me, since I started him over 2 weeks where he combined for about 10 points. Fitzpatrick...well, you guys know how he's been. He's thrown for a lot of yards lately, but has been getting picked A LOT. Add that to the fact that Spiller emerged as a legitimate runner last week. Although, Spiller does get thrown to out of the backfield, and my opponent is starting him this week, so starting Fitzpatrick could soften that blow. I'm thinking the determining factor for me will be the weather come Saturday, but I wanted to get other opinions as well.
EDIT: Oh yeah, defense question!
Min @ Was OR Was vs Min.
I know, I know, don't laugh. My RB situation isn't any better. Believe me, these are the best defenses available...unless I want to depend on Chicago against GB.
