Flex and WR help - WHIR

Postby SultanOfSwag » Fri Dec 23, 2011 4:14 pm

So I just found out about this site (in the next to last week of the season..go figure), but better late than never I guess. I'm in a custom 12 team league and this is our semifinal week. I started out 0-6, and am currently riding an 8 game win streak. Gotta keep it going! Here's my lineup so far.

QB: Drew Brees
RB: MJD
RB: Mendenhall
RB/WR: ?
WR: Roddy White
WR: Vincent Jackson
TE: Gonzalez
K: Akers
D/ST: Seahawks

For my Flex spot, my (realistic) options are as follows:
Kahlil Bell
Demaryius Thomas
Laurent Robinson

Who would you guys play in your flex spot in my position? I'm thinking Bell but with Chicago's QB situation and Green Bay coming off a loss I'm worried the Bears will get down by a ton early and abandon the run game.

Also, I'm pretty concerned with Vjax being able to play this week with his injury and he doesn't kickoff until 4:05. Would it be worth gambling on him playing and then subbing in L Rob (4:15 kickoff) as a last minute backup, or should I start D Thomas (1:00 kickoff) instead of Vjax without knowing if he's active?

Thanks for the help! If you leave a link to your question I'll help you out as well.

Even if the Bears do abandon the run, Bell is still decent catching passes out of the backfield and McCown will likely throwing a bunch of dump-offs, so Bell should be a decent option.

I have a similar WR situation. If VJax is a no go, my plan B is L.Rob, but my other option would likely be Moss (which isn't bad vs. horrible MIN DBs). Not sure which way I'm leaning on that one, so I'm interested in the answer you get :-D

Barber is out, so Bell is going to get 90% of work. Roll with him at your flex.

Be ready to get LRob in for VJAX if necessary.
